Capping & crowns
Caps (crowns) that restore strength, shape and a natural appearance.
A cap, or crown, covers a tooth that is cracked, heavily filled or root-treated. The material matters, but so does the preparation, the margin and the bite. We plan each restoration so it fits comfortably, cleans easily and looks like it belongs in your mouth.
This may be for you if
- A tooth that has had a root canal
- A large filling that keeps breaking
- A cracked or unusually worn tooth
- A gap you would like closed with a fixed restoration
What the appointment includes
- Shade matching in natural light
- Careful tooth preparation and temporary protection
- Zirconia or metal-free ceramic restoration
- Bite adjustment and fit review
- Cementation and care instructions
How treatment is planned.
The steps are similar for most patients. The timeline and fee are confirmed in writing after examination.
- 01
Assess the foundation
The tooth, gum and bite are checked. If the core is weak, we rebuild it first.
- 02
Prepare and record
The tooth is shaped conservatively, scanned or impressed, and protected with a temporary crown.
- 03
Design the restoration
Shade, contour and bite are planned with the laboratory. You see and approve the shape.
- 04
Fit and review
The final crown or bridge is checked for fit, comfort and cleanliness, then cemented.
